Customer Service Appreciation Week presents the perfect opportunity for employers to treat their employees the way they want their employees to treat their customers ~ with a little extra kindness and gratitude.

Customer Service Week is an international event devoted to recognizing the importance of customer service and to honoring the people who serve and support customers. Held annually during the first full week in October, Customer Service Week is celebrated in all 50 states and over 60 countries.

Participants include leading financial, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retailing, hospitality, communications, not-for-profit, and educational organizations, as well as government agencies, and others. What unites them is their deep commitment to quality customer care.

A company sponsored breakfast or flowers is nice, but to truly pamper your most valuable assets, why not provide your team with an afternoon of relaxing, rejuvenating chair massages?!

Massage offers many benefits, especially for those who spend hours at desks or on the phone. Chair massage is an easy way to relieve tension and sore muscles and promote a feeling of wellness.

Employees who feel valued and appreciated are more likely to treat customers with patience and friendliness, which is what every company desires.

We would like to thank and commend the following companies who have provided this wonderful service to their valued employees over the past few years: R-Tape, Jersey Shore Medical Center, Crowne Plaza Princeton, McKinsey & Company, The Ridge, SHI.

National customer service week started in 1984. in 1992 George H. Bush signed presidential proclamation declaring the celebration take place during the first week in Oct each year. Take time this week to recognize your employees, also known as your internal customers, for their hard work and commitment to excellent customer service.

National Customer Service Week is a celebration of a year’s worth of effort to create great customer service experiences for customers. So even though it’s just a week long celebration, don’t forget the other 51 weeks of the year. A focus on customers and employees is an all-the-time effort!
